Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations at MVZ Wiesloch
Autumn brings an increased risk of flu infections.
Current information on flu vaccinations:
The flu vaccine Efluelda for people aged 60 and over is already available and can be administered at our center.
For people under 60 years of age, there are unfortunately currently delays in the delivery of the flu vaccine Influvac. According to the current status, we expect to be able to offer vaccinations for this age group from November 2, 2024. We ask for your understanding.
Why a flu vaccination makes sense
Experience shows that the flu wave peaks at the end of the year. To be adequately protected, you should get vaccinated by November if possible. Immunity is fully built up after 10 to 14 days.
For whom is the vaccination particularly important?
Flu vaccination is particularly recommended for older people aged 60 and over, the chronically ill, pregnant women, and people who have a lot of contact with others through their work.
This year’s vaccine Efluelda is specially adapted for people aged 60 and over and is already available.
COVID-19 vaccinations
COVID-19 vaccinations are also already available and can be carried out at our center without a prior appointment.
Coverage by health insurance providers
Statutory health insurance providers cover the full cost of the flu vaccination.
Take advantage of this opportunity to protect yourself in good time and get through the flu season safely!
